Google Pixel 7 Anthem: The Ultimate Festival Companion

The Challenge: Google Pixel 7 wanted to engage Millennial and Gen Z switchable music fans — culturally tuned-in festival-goers — and position the phone as essential to their live music experience.

My Role: I led the art direction for a :60 TV spot that highlighted the Pixel 7’s features in context of music and festival culture. I created initial storyboards and shot lists, casted, directed wardrobe, art-directed the shoot on set at Lollapalooza, and collaborated closely with post and cross-functional teams to ensure the vision translated flawlessly on screen.

The Spot: The Anthem captured the festival-going and music fan experience through a lens that was authentic, fun, and aspirational. Whether connecting with festival fam, snapping selfies at the show, or discovering new artists, the Pixel 7’s features were seamlessly integrated into the story, showing how technology could enhance every moment.

Impact: The campaign strengthened Pixel 7’s positioning among music-loving audiences, generated high engagement and brand recall, and reinforced Google’s mission to blend culture, music, and technology in a meaningful way. The spot also went on to have placement in the Grammys that year!
